Let`s try this in small chunks and see how long it takes for me to break the forum again in the process......

One of the things Tann Synchronome specialise in is bodging about with stuff engineering specific solutions to fit the needs of our customers. Quite often, a new upgraded system is desirable simply due to ageing kit, but for many differing reasons a total re-wire, or even minor alterations of wiring, is not always possible. As a result, we have on many occasions replaced conventional panels and devices with addressable systems, and re-used the existing wiring as a series of spurs. In order to do this properly, a custom built box of short circuit isolators is usually built, allowing the addressable panel loop to make a short trip in and out of the box keeping the panel happy, and enable the individual zone spurs to be separately isolated against short circuit faults.

Could I use Apollo DIN-rail short circuit isolators on a Hochiki system, seeing as though Hochiki don`t sell their own ones any more? Would that work, seeing as though neither of them appear to have any communication with the host panel or devices, and appear to just be "smart" switches?
