I have been asked to replace Approx. 12 conventional devices in a B&B, It's quite an old C-Tec panel that has been wired in T/E. The devices are about twenty years old. I have tried to find info regarding the cabling to see if this would also have to be replaced. The customer would rather not replace as It would involve lifting floorboards etc.
I know all new installs require the cabling but can't find much on existing.
My opinion is to leave the cable because of the extra cost to the customer and overall any FRA would show that they are taking steps to Improve the overall safety in their building.
Any thoughts?
