Tyco MZX panel additional works

Hello to all,

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on adding some additional multi sensors on a Tyco MZX-125 (ADT) fire alarm system. I've read mixed views on whether these systems are open or closed protocol, but my main question is can these devices be programmed at the panel with the right access codes, or do these devices need the 801AP MX service tool for soft addressing? Having a hard time finding a manual for this panel aswell, I've never had the privilege of working on a MZX panel
