I called today to site to check status of smoke vents windows.
System consist of:
Small motorized wall window with its own power supply unit and Interface box mounted beside in ground floor by main entrance.
Small motorized ceilling window with its own power supply unit and Interface box mounted beside it on top of stairs.
Yellow Call point top of stairs
Open/Close Key operated box mounted next to panel and has interface connected to it.
When I activate the fire alarm the windows dont open .
When I test the yellow call point the windows open and massage displayed on fire alarm panel saying vents open and buzzer tune active .
when I close the call point windows dont close and massage stays on panel , I reset panel massage dissapear and windows stays open.
I switch key to close position Windows close and massage dispalys on panel windows closed ,and needs to reset panel to get rid of masssage .
I switch Key to open position Vents open and switch back to close they close and both times massage displayed .
I have 2 questions :
Why the vents dont open automatic when fire alarm activated and close
automatic when system reset .
Can I by pass the existing by connecting the cables in Open/close into 2 spare auxulary relays inside fre alarm panel on PCP .
