Evening guys
Any advice on best course of action on the following system.
A potential new client has asked us to quote for a bit of an upgrade.
They are a large church and parish hall that has an old 4 zone gent 3260 installed and Gent 17841-01 detectors.
They want to upgrade the panel without upgrading the existing detectors if at all possible and they want to ensure that 4 x new zones can be added within the next couple of years for a new planned extension.
The last thing I want to do is specify something that is on the verge of being obsolete.
Does anyone know if Gent still make/supply the Xenex panel and do they still make the detectors to match (the same ones as used on the 3260 - Code 17841-01)
Or can i add any other type of more readily available detector to the new zones that will be easier to find?
I have seen another system while visiting someones office where gent detectors were on a c-tec MFP but I didnt think that that would have worked.
Any advice guys?
Thanks in advance
