Devices Older than Manufacturers Recommendation

How are you coding for detectors older than 10 years?


I always code as C3 improvement recommended marking the certificate satisfactory, this is generally ignored by the end users with the devices left in place till they fail.

For Batteries older than four years in panels or emergency lights I code as C2 and mark the certificate unsatisfactory, should I do the same for detectors?
