Today. I attempted to get a download (or upload from panel ) of the information contained within a CEL Voyager which was badged up as an Emergilite something or other.
I have a copy of FusionV2 downloaded as legacy software from the remnants of the CEL website which is now listed under Fireclass.
The lead required is the same as a Ziton ZP3 or a Null Modem cable by another name.
All was going well. I found it a little odd that the communication with the panel could only be established at a baud rate of 1200. There was an option to set it to 4800, but when doing so the connection failed.
The software then asks what kind of panel you have. EG How many display characters is there, 20 or 40 etc. So i counted them up from the front of the panel and the answer was 40. So, I selected 40. The panel connected only to tell me I had selected the wrong panel and the download couldn't happen. Odd I thought. So i deleted the panel I had selected and re created one with the 20 display (20/Voyager).I then had to select a Panel number on the software screen. The choices start at 1. As there is only one panel on site I chose 1. I was then able to connect but got a warning that the panel I was connected to was infact, Panel 0. The software then suggests you can use this number instead. The download then commenced. (This software is installed on a Windows XP 32 bit machine)
It takes a month of Sundays to aquire the data. So much so that the battery on my laptop was getting down to 15%, When the download had reached the Cause & Effect section the download hung with an exception error. I had to terminate the program and restart it to continue.
I then noticed you can download specific sections of the configuration, like, text, zoning, panel info etc. So i tried this. However, when you use this option the rest of the config parts you have already downloaded get wiped. So.... a catch 22!
Anyone any ideas? I will be visiting this site again sometime next week and would like something fresh to try!
Many Thanks..........
