Yes, the dreaded dinosaur. Got a call to a new client today reporting an intermittent fault. I printed out the Event History and concluded it was an 'Alarm Fault'. I printed out the Device Data to see what I was faced with on the loops. 13 devices on Loop 1, and 26 on Loop 2. No Loop Sounders. (Did they even make them for this system?)
So, opened up the panel to find 4 sounder circuits in use, all with what I assume are the EOL capacitors connected at the panel. Just looking to see if anyone has had this fault occur intermittently, and is the probable cause the EOL units, or the panel itself? Either way I need to sort the EOL issue and get them in their rightful places. The client may even consider the possibility of a new panel, given the low number of devices involved. That is of course assuming the bell circuits are not a can of worms!
